The photograph was taken last year (2010) August, It was in Chiang Rai Province about 30 km outside the city. I had shipped my motorbike from Dubai and spent a month exploring the North of Thailand. In fact the trip turned out to last much longer as I had such an amazing time and met so many nice people. The bike in fact is coming back today so it is like the perfect end to that trip ! A trip that seems to start all over again.
How does the picture relate to amazing Thailand, well to me it relates to so many things Thai. Firstly and I hope you do not mind me recounting the whole story. I was invited to join a family for lunch in a very small village. After a wonderful lunch and riding back to the city I saw this lady walking along the road on her way somewhere I thought she looked so wonderful in her tribal dress and stopped my bike, my Thai was not so good then so I gestured to her how I thought she looked so wonderful and she in turn reciprocated by smiling and giving a little dance as she walked towards me. It was an amazing moment for me and one that always makes me smile to remember it.
In Specific regards to the 7 Wonders for me, she is Thainess, warmhearted, happy, full of life and yet she is not young but has the heart of a teenager. She is also a Treasure, she is a link to a time when things were more simple, she carries her tribal culture into the modern day and I really feel after spending time with these people that there is much for us to learn from them. Many cultures have lost this but I found it to be alive and well in Thailand. It is Nature, it is the natural beauty that we can find in the North when we go a little of the beaten track. Finally it is wellness, not in the spa sense, but there is nothing that makes your day more than a open heart and a genuine moment of total joy between two individuals who have never met and may never meet again. She made me feel amazingly happy and I hope that in some way I did the same for her.
This photograph was taken in Phuket, April 2010.
Beaches to beaches, There's nothing more beautiful and relaxing than a sunset on the beach. The white sands and turquoise waters that beckons one to them. This is how this photograph relates with the “7 Wonders of Amazing Thailand” as it is part of "Beaches" to exemplify the beauty of the world class Beaches that Thailand has to offer. The beaches of Phuket and Thailand offer great family times that are enjoyed vacation after vacation and bring one back to beautiful and Amazing Thailand year after year. There simply is no other place on earth like Amazing Thailand!
This picture was taken on the 18/8/2010, I took the 4 Islands tour to Phra Nang Cave, Tup Isl., Chicken Isl. and Poda Isl. from Krabi to visit some natural reserve Islands, and this photo was taken during this trip.
Amazing Thailand: Beaches and Nature Themes.
As a Nature & Beach loving person with a great interest in eco-tourism, I love my vacation to be finding tranquility and exercising. This is mostly by spending quality time in nature and at the beach. The various boat tours to the islands allowed me to see breath taking nature and enjoy amazing sandy beaches; while doing my favorite hobbies snorkeling, diving, kayaking, swimming, sun bathing, etc. I found out that Thailand has the amazing beautiful, clean, beaches in all its regions and islands. I would like to thank the great effort from the Thailand government to make Thailand a wonderful experience for tourists from all around the world while making great effort in preserving nature. It was a very enriching, relaxing, and fun experience.
I took this photo Wednesday , November 12, 2008 (11:21 AM) at Maya Bay , Krabi , Thailand
